Packet Pick Up
We will have packet pick up on Friday November 7th from 4pm to 7pm at Land Heritage Institute headquarters (HQ). LHI remains locked outside of public hours. Please do not arrive earlier than 4pm. Feel free to set up your drop bag/tent in the spectating area. You can also pick up your packet an hour before your start time at the start / finish line. To pick up a friend's packet, please have their name and their confirmation email (don't print - save the trees!). If you are tent or RV camping, you will be assigned your spot.

Challenge yourself to go the distance. With a 10 mile loop, aid stations every 3 to 4 miles, and a generous cutoff, this is a great race for your first ultra, running an ultra without a crew, or to dip your toes into trail running. The course is on soft natural trail system that winds its way through woodlands, open pastures, and the Medina River bottomland.
100 mile - 7:00am start | 10 loops, 32 hour cutoff
100 kilometer - 7:30am start | 6 loops
50 kilometer - 8:00am start | 3 loops
10 mile - 4:00PM start | 1 loop
5 kilometer - 4:30PM start | 1 lollipop loop
Pacers are allowed to join runners after 5:00PM on Nov 4th. Course closes 3:00pm on Sunday Nov 5th.

Course Markings
Medusa 10 Mile Loop
The Medusa 10 mile loop will be marked with hanging reflective markers with orange tape.
Medusa 5k Lollipop loop
In intersections, the Medusa 10 mile loop have yard signs with green arrows.
The Medusa 5k lollipop course will be marked with yard signs and orange arrows in intersections. Small survey flags will be used during the majority of the course.
Tape on the ground will be used to help guide the course through intersections. Do not cross over any tape on the ground at any time.
What's provided.
The 10 mile loop will have 3 aid stations, no more than 4 miles apart.
Aid stations will be stocked with water, Skratch Lemon & Lime flavor, and snacks.
We are committed to zero trace and being as green as we can. This is a cupless race. There will be NO cups at the aid stations for water.

5k route will not have an aid station.

Rules
Crew & Pacers
Crew is allowed at any aid station. They will need to walk or bike to the aid station.
Pacers are allowed at any time after 5pm. Please sign up as a “Volunteer” and “Pacer” under Ultra Signup. Check in at the start line to get your pacer bib.
Drop bags will be at the start/finish line.
Cutoffs
Course closes at 4:00PM on Sunday November 9th for all courses.
Distance Changes
Change your distance at any time through Athlinks Last chance to change your distance online is November 7th. You can also change your distance in person at packet pick up.
Transfers & Refunds
Change your distance at any time through Athlinks. There are no refunds for this event.
Pregnancy deferral - if you become pregnant you may defer your 100 mile or 100k race entry. Please email us at racechingona@gmail.com

DIRECTIONS
Camping -
RV hookups and campsites are reserved during registration and are limited. Please check in before setting up. There is electric and water, but not septic. Showers are available in the HQ bathrooms. Please no ground fires. LHI is remote, so please be aware of wildlife and remember that you are the visitor in their home.
Google maps will sometimes try to take you to the closed back entrance. If you end up there, turn around, go back to Neal Rd and head West towards the Toyota Plant. We will have yellow signs that say "MEDUSA TRAIL RUN" with an arrow, and a big feather flag at the entrance of LHI. LHI is located in an area that has limited cell service so please download your directions and screenshot your confirmation email before you get out there.

EXIT 48 Zarazamora St
LEFT at the LIGHT Zarazamora St (You should be heading South)
Continue forward, Zarzamora curves to the left and becomes Applewhite Rd
LEFT on Neal Rd.
Travel ~1.3 miles (2 mins)
SLIGHT LEFT onto dirt road look for the yellow signs that say "MEDUSA TRAIL RUN" a big feather flag
Slow down and follow the signs to HQ.
